I hated to do it ,but i just drilled a hole in the base and put a Mic Gain control from a parts radio on it , It worked out great,kind of even had a fairly good look to it for as old of a mic that it is. just to say one more time ,thank you all for helping me out on this one , big time much appreciated !! This D-104 is back in action and sounding like it should. Peace
