Post what amp you go with and how it works out.
The mic adaptor that comes with the 880\980ssb will work with the 6666. Those can be had for about $12 on eBay.
Factory mic works well and my Palomar 400 elite with the 6666 at like 9am on SSB does just right at like 310w pep or so. 
Well I can't edit my earlier post, but my AT6666 went down today, 33 days after that I received it. I have sent the seller a message on ebay to see if any relief will be offered.

I'm referring to my RCI 2950, It had a lot of bells and whistles, but I never really liked it.
This is a RETRACTION: My AT 6666 did not go down. It was the new Workman 3-Way switch that went out.
Come to find out, folks in my area are having terrible problems with the Workman switches going out.
The AT 6666 is working like new since I took the switch out of line.

Mine drives the fool out of the TS 500 at 3 watts AM and does great at 11-12 oclock on SSB.
