This is a Pearce Simpson Guardian tube radio. Any suggestions on helping the audio on this radio with maybe a resistor change here or there? Thanks for any info!

Try this. Very simple mod, but it really opens up the audio on these old tube sets. Be certain to use the correct voltage ratings on the diodes/capacitor.

To get a little more gain on the mic preamp, change the bootstrap cap C63 to a .22uF 50V or higher. Need a little more? Change R62 to a 100K, 1 watt.
