I am able to buy a Bandit II antenna for $30.00, to use with my 2000GTL.
How good is this antenna, as good as an Antron 99, or about the same?

from best i can tell they should be similar to the a-99.

That's good to hear, as I am now using a borrowed Antron 99, from the 80s.
