Banjos on 28 AM location?

That being said.....rest assured they wouldn't last around me if they lived close enough to bother me...I would find a way. I wouldn't go yank his tower down....(anymore) I'm smarter than that now lol but I would find a way
Ppl are far to happy to whine to the cops now days but sometimes the law fails...not that most of us have room to talk about law's but that's a whole other story.......
I'm Panick Attack, and I like Radios!!!

My experience was a little different.
The 3 guys that tried to pull the tower down got shot at. They decided to shoot back. Sheriff showed up and 3 arrests were made.
Trespassing , brandishing a fire arm, unlawful discharge of a firearm in the city limits, and a few other violations.

One guy spent 12 weeks in jail, the driver of the pickup was ordered to pay restitution for the private property they destroyed and
Judge Hooks as we fondly called him did not give one shit about CB interference problems, he slapped them all real hard.
And the " problem guy" had his station back on the air the next day.....

But they sure showed him.

I was a member of the local CB club.
We were the Central Valley CBers , we had been trying to get the problem solved the proper way.
Letters and meetings with the PD and city counsel , letters and cassette tapes to the FCC, Sheriff's Department.
Letters to anyone that would listen.
We had finally got a letter back from a FCC field agent and were starting to make progress when this group of misfits staged this stunt.

It did NOT help the cause and made the rest if us look like unhinged vigilantes.
He was insane, but not dumb, he knew radio was federal and not much the local PD could do.
But it got solve by believe it or not, weapons charges against him.
After the tower incident,
he decided he was going to build some homemade booby traps around his house and yard.
He was a true psychotic nut job, and later wound up in a mental funny farm and never returned to our community, thank God.
There are some seriously disturbed people out there.
Radio is not worth getting shot at.
Taking the law into your own hands is never a good idea.

Not to try and turn this into politics or anything.......but.....I think it's pretty safe to say most of us are operating a bit outside the law and I feel it somewhat hypocritical for us to ask the Law to come to our rescue when someone operates thier station in a way we disapprove of. Laws aren't written to be used for our benefit while we ignore them ourselves. In the Laws eyes were all just as guilty as the interfering party and subject to whatever Law may apply! I don't condone breaking laws either but our freedom wasn't won by subjects sitting around waiting on the law to "give" them there freedom.
I'm not a vigilante, misfit or a nutjob either!

Taking the law into your own hands is not the correct course of action, encouraging others go destroy private property is bad advice that could cost someone fines or jail time if they listen.

And you are correct, you dont want to start bringing up politics here.
It never ends well.

I wasn't actually endorsing these actions I hope no one thought I was....I was just sharing a story from my childhood...I was 17 when these event's happened. It was mid to late 90s.
These type folks just didn't last long where I'm from! The rural Midwest...heck the local cop would have joined in!
I'm starting to feel a bit targeted as a "vigilante misfit" here like I'm some cowboy or something. I'M NOT...I was just sharing how things used to be done where I'm from and made a bit of a joke about it.
When it came to CB, where I'm from and back in the 90s non of us would have EVER called the cops...not even the trouble makers.
Like I said, We(the operators) Held It Down, and kept it tight and right, a true Band of Brothers!
Long time sandbagger around here....I guess I just don't fit in to be posting on these forums which is why I'm usually just a sandbagger, to easy for things to rub ppl wrong.

FCC Hiring for High Frequency Direction Finding Center

07/19/2022
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has started accepting applications for a Telecommunications Specialist at its High Frequency Direction Finding Center (HFDFC) in Columbia, Maryland.
HFDFC supports the FCC Over-the-Air spectrum observation capabilities, and provides direct support to the public safety community and other federal partners by locating interference sources on HF radio spectrum (below 30 MHz). The Center is part of the FCC's Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau in the Operations and Emergency Management Division.
