BARREL CONECTORS FOR PL259

Im gonna need a pl258 barrel connector for a pl259 connection. Is one brand name better than another or, are thay basically the same? Shacksspear has a gold Plated one. Is this snake oil? If the more expensive ones are better I'd rather pay the extra $$ and, get the best.

Amphenol has been around probably the longest and has a good reputation. Don't look for the bright, shiny ones; try for a dull silver plated finish. The shiny ones are nickel plated, pretty looking but silver is a better conductor and even its oxides are better conductors than most of nickel oxides are.

Another for Amphenol. Their stuff is made so exactly to spec that if you get a PL259 for RG213 and the coax doesn't fit you blame the coax.

What if it is Amphenol cable?
