Hi All,

Newbie to the forum and I was wondering if you all might know of a reputable base station repair man or facility?

I picked up an old Cobra 139xlr. It powers up and I dial through the 40 channels but no S/RF PWR or SWR/MOD meters are lit or working. Doesn't seem to be pulling in a signal. I do have the antennae connected.

I don't have much invested in it and I'm guessing it's not worth the money required to make it right but Is there someone who would work on it if I so desired?

Thanks in advance!

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
