Anyone ever use a 1:1 current balum with a Double Bazooka antenna?Thinking of making one and have a balun handy.I know the antenna is balanced and should tune well without one but would it degrade performance?Any help or opinions greatly appreciated.

What VO1KS said. I have used baluns on balanced antennas like dipoles and split driver elements on tribanders for years. The main objective was not to improve performance or SWR but rather to prevent distortion of the pattern due to feedline radiation and pick up.

Exactly

Thankyou gentlemen for sharing your expertise. The main reason I considered using a balum and the Bazooka was to help avoid TVI.I have had good results with verticals using a line isolator, just very little experience with horizontals. Thanks again.
