looking for a list that describe the gain or multiplication factor for beam Ants
remember seeing something that listed the gain on pdl II or moonraker ant said the ex: pdl 2 had 8db gain vs
the moonraker IV had 12 gain, something to the effect, listed for several antennas..

thanks ahead of time

i try....

Most Antenna Mfr's .... Generally LIE...period...
2 Element Quad/3 element wide space Yagi...regardless of whom made it, true forward gain is about 6 dBd.
6dB over dipole at same height.
3dBd equals 2x power... 100 watts to antenna = 200 watts at optimum Take off angle, and beam heading.
Thus 6dBd equates to 100 watts to antenna = 400 watts forward gain
4 Element Yagi/3 Element quad is abt 8 dBd

Good example of Mfr's lies...A99 vertical has less gain than a dipole at same height...NOT +6dB as advertised. :ROFLMAO:

The IMAX 5/8 (any 5/8th's) has about 1.5 dB gain over a Dipole at same height.
Those are Real Time numbers...
Pretty much any antenna Mfr. that does not list their antenna gain specs as dBd or dBi (over Isotropic which is MINUS 2.2 dB below dipole)
They Lie!
Flame Suit on Boys.
All the Best

PS: NO (160 thru 10/11 meters) Mobile antenna have gain...none
See Chapters 20-22 for real information...

Even those that do quote dbi/dbd lie,
sirio have 4.15 & 2.15 listed for the same coaxial j-pole on different bands,

The problem is cbers will go for the high numbers & don't seem to mind been taken for idiots sirio antenne & Rm Italy are prime examples.

Our a few that at least give good models for review...

Unfortunately there are NO TRUE test ranges existing anymore for real time MFR comparison.
Hence why QST or a few others /GB would not allow Gain figures to be published in there mags.

Does anyone know if you can replace the 2290 in a galaxy dx 93t twin turbine with a 2sc2879 red dot? If so, what would have to be tuned?
