I recently installed a W6LVP Amplified Magnetic Loop RX Antenna on my roof on a small antenna rotor. One of the most useful benefits of adding an antenna such as this to your regular HF TX/RX antenna is that you can use it to null out unwanted signals. If you use it in conjunction with a phasing device like the MFJ-1026, the results for this application can be even more pronounced.
In the video below, I demonstrate the use case. In the video, I mention using the W6LVP with an HF rig with multiple antenna antenna ports or additional RX only ports, but W6LVP does have a version that will switch between TX and RX antennas if you only have one HF port on your rig.
Enjoy!
