hot glue will work, but it is more difficult to "work", as it leaves a trail, has a short cure time, and does not respond very well to being manipulated after application.
gorilla glue expands to fill gaps by forming air bubbles, and will find its way into gaps you didn't intend.
Also, it dries hard and will eventually start leaving yellow powder behind.

Was going to say the same thing. R/C56 is the product name, goes on white and dries clear
I'm with Robb, have only used hot glue for years for all my projects. Any excess is easily removed with a scalpel.
Well, it is just out of convenience that I do it that way.
