Best Power Mic For President Lincoln?

Which power mic is the best match for a Uniden President Lincoln? I'm looking to buy a new mic for my radio in the next few days.. I am currently using an Astatic D104-M6B, but want to get another mic to use as my primary and keep the D104 as a backup. One of the biggest issues I have with the D104 is that the mic wire is very thin, causing a lot of play in the mic plug.. Since I use it in the mobile, I tend to pull on it from time to time and the connections in the plug constantly pull out and needs to get re-wired quite often..

So therefore, In addition to needing a power microphone which would be the best match for the Lincoln, I'm also looking for a mic which has a fairly thick wire too, unlike the Astatic D104 to avoid the connections from pulling out..

Thanks in advance for the feedback..

How about a couple layers of heat shrink, or tape if you have to, at the cable clamp?

I've tried the heat shrink option; however, with the constant tugging and moving of the mic wire being that its in a mobile it still ends up either twisting out of the plug.. I've ended up re-wiring the mic 4 times already.. It's just getting annoying..
