Cross another one off the list. I liked these. Now digikey is out, mouser has restricted availability, and RFParts only let me put 29 in my cart, pretty sure thats all they had. There is still ebay and a couple unfamiliar sites claiming to have some still, but who knows what they are.

I wonder what took their place for low noise, low capacitance dual gate mosfets.

Sounds like an emerging market for a tiny pc board with a surface-mount dg MOSFET and four tiny wire leads on it.

Kinda like this.

The disappearance of radios with through-hole boards will happen when the parts with leads on them disappear. RCI clearly wants to squeeze a little more production life from their through-hole pc board designs. But every year more SMT parts find their way into the final production. When component factories won't make anything but SMT parts that's what you're stuck with.

It was the surface mount ones that I wanted. I am not sure if the BF998 was ever offered as a through hole part. Now you have me thinking about it, I hope thats what RFParts had. I just assumed they were SMD when I ordered what they had.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
