Same as no antenna at all, a really bad match, if the radio sees a match that far off then it's like no antenna at all.

Yup, many hf quality sets have swr protection built in, what magnum needs is a large boxing glove to jump out the front of thier radios that will punch the operator in the snoz.

Nine monthes of using the Magnum OmegaForce every day. Not so much as a glitch. No problems. Very nice radio. I'd buy another one. Great audio reports from locals and DX alike. Hams on 28.400mhz/USB think I'm running an expensive Ham rig. My favorite radio - hands down.

Putting swr protection and thermal tracking in is one thing,but fitting f@cking idiot protection is a whole different ball game.

more chance of recovering from a punch in the nose which leaves the operator open to even more learning experiences.
