Breedlove Mount And Wilson 5000?

If I were to purchase a behind the cab antenna mount from Breedlove could I mount my mag mount Wilson 5000 on it? (minus the mag mount itself of course)
Just the coil I mean.

If it is fixed mount you're using on Breedlove bracket then yes.

I think you'd be better off with a W2000, but the coil will still be behind the cab.

I have a 5000 sitting in the garage from an old setup which is why I'm inquiring.

Is the base the same on the magnet vs hard Wilson mounts? In other words, is it the same base with a magnet screwed on? From what I remember of the hard mount, that Breedlove mount might be too thick, there arent't too many threads for the mounting nut on thin sheet metal.

Anyway, my opinion of that mount is that a W2000 would work better than a base load. A 1/4ψ would be better yet

Having a base mounted coil that low compared to the cab is not the best idea.

Thank you gentlemen, I will scrap the idea and just get a W2000. Not the best but it's better than nothing I suppose.
