As I search various threads...I don't see a whole lot about the Browning and Tram CB/s. How did these makes (am or am/ssb) radios compare as far as TX and RX? They seem to bring good prices on ebay.

Browning and Trams are not the greatest on SSB, AM They have a sound to them, smooth rich receive, and AM transmit. Both radios sound decent on SSB, but they just aren't convenient, though the Tram isn't bad.

If you pick one up you may just find it hard to stop at one. Is definitely something about the vintage toob gear. Just be prepared, its not cheap, and will only get worse.

Also being they are 35 or so years old expect more problems. My Mark 3 recieve went out about a week ago. Most likely a tube. Came back for two days.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
