C4PRCI6 4 pin to 6 pin mic adaptor

So I have two of these adaptors, allows me to connect a 4 pin astatic 636l to my Ranger radio.

If roger beep is activated the radio makes what I can only describe as a squeek sound from within the radio when i unkey the 636l, almost as if the radio relays squeek, only occurs unkeying and when rodger beep turned on. I thought perhaps the adaptor wiring was faulty, but it occurs on both mic adaptors.

No squeeking noise when unkeying using the supplied mic with rodger beep enabled. Just the usual relay click noise.

i have a galaxy 2527 and with the homebrew adapter i made it does that too,,,i think it is just a odd thing with the way the adapters wire up,,,

Thanks , so if I were to hardwire the noise would still be present? With hardwire I'm referring to buying a dedicated 6 pin plug and solder the 636l to the correct pins on the 4 pin plug instead of using the long asses adaptor.

it will go away,,, i wired the correct plug on my mike and the noise went away,,,,

what ranger do you have? if you have the 2950/2970 series,, you only use 3 wires in the mike cord,,, pin 1 is shield
pin 2 is audio
pin 3 is tx

basically pin one off the 4 pin plug goes to pin 1, pin 2 to pin 2 and pin 3 to pin 3,,, pin 4 is not used,,,
