ok, i received my 18 ft fiberglass antenna today from ebay, it is a 3 section cobra, if you rub your hand up and down the antenna, there are small slivers of fiberglass that come off, no chunks missing or large pieces, but i dont want to put it up until i fix the problem, after assembly, can i paint the antenna to stop the fiberglass from coming off or will that affect the antenna?

i dont want to do any damage to the antenna, if anyone has any suggestions other than painting, please tell,

thanks to all

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
