Just got back from a 4 day vacation on Catalina Island (about 26 miles off the coast from Long Beach, CA). Did the new zip line eco-tour and it was amazing! The first leg is kind of a tester for you so the guides can see how you did. The second leg is the longest run of the five at 1,047 feet and about 300 feet off Descanso Canyon floor. Look out to your right while on this run and you have an amazing view of the ocean.
If you are planning a trip to Catalina or even going for just the day, TAKE THE ZIPLINE ECO TOUR! It's about $100 per person (My wife and I paid $92.50 each), but worth every penny. Two thumbs up, definitely.
