CB beam question

A rotator mounted on a mast should have a mast as short as possible above it. The top guys should be directly under the rotator. You NEVER want a long mast above a rotator unless that mast is supported with bearing above the rotator.

I was wondering if it were possible to put a beam antenna on a mast. I was looking at the L2 Quad from Lightning Antennas.

http://www.lightningantennas.com/quad-models/l2-quad-bis/

I have read and heard that masts should not be used with beam antennas but this beam is a small 2 element beam weighing 11 lbs with a wind area of 1.8 square feet. I was hoping this may be small enough to use with a mast. I understand that i would have to use guy wires and was thinking a Rohn 50 mast would be suitable. I would also have to use a small tv rotor to move this around.

Has anyone had a set up like this before? is it possible?

Just wondering if you got the L2 up or if you went a different direction? I am looking at the L2 as my next antenna.
Chris

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
