Good day everyone, I wanted to share that I've decided to offer up my services for working on radios! I've been into electronics for a while, and always wanted to try to repair them. I've done quite a bit of stuff lately. I have most of what RF equipment I need to do the job including a 4 channel oscilloscope, 2 channel signal generator, frequency counter and a spectrum analyzer.

What I mainly aim for is to work on radios. This means
Electrolytic capacitor changes, synthesizer realignment, transmit and recieve alignments and troubleshooting.

I've done some radio work personally, and some for friends, and I also work for a local radio shop that has just recently opened in my state on the side.

I'd like to offer my services out to this forum because, I myself know what it's like to not have a place to take my equipment to because something isn't working.

I have worked on several manufacturers such as SBE, Cobra, Tram/Browning. As well as some VHF/UHF equipment.

Tube radios as well as solid state. However I will mention that tube radios I haven't had a ton of work on, but do know proper steps about firing up tube radios on a variac. Which I do have. As well as a tube tester.

If you are interested in having work done, please PM me! I'd love to try and help you!

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
