Channel selector

It will read 17 but not be on channel. I can mess with the selector a bit and get the channel back, but it's a pain in the arse.

Maybe dirty switch, or is the selector burned or wore out on that channel.

Does it on the two most used channels, 2 and 17.

Any ideas for a do it yourself fix!!

I fixed the problem by taking the covers off as well as the chrome face plate cover and cleaned the selector with electro -clean type spray. Rotated the selector to work the cleaner in. It dries residue free. Working fine now, making reliable contact.

That was my suggestion before replacing the channel selector , they are expensive sometimes & tricky to install for me(someone who is all thumbs)! Glad to hear it worked for you.
