clarifier question... just curious

what would be the effect of changing the 20K pot for the clarifier on my 148gtl with a 5K pot?

i have my reasons for wanting to know this...LOL

I'm just thinking outloud here but I would say that the tuning would be coarse and the centre slot would be shifted from the twelve o'clock position unless the sideband oscillators were realigned.

Try it and find out. Don't lose the original component, though.

ok, i will try it.

i was just wondering if it would take less movement of the pot to achieve the same amount of shift, or if it was the opposite.

i will try it tomorrow, (maybe tonight) and post my results.
