Clearspeech Speaker: WOW!!!!!!!!!

Well, I received my ClearSpeech speaker several days ago. It did a little in blocking the fuel pump noise coming in through the antenna, but not enough of a difference to warrant $169 bucks. I sent it back for a refund, I hope they accept the return in good faith.

I guess now I need to go and spend $100 bucks to have the fuel pump noise filtered by Ford.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/ohwell.gif ALT=":">

The noise is coming in through the antenna, NOT the power cord...<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/happy.gif ALT=":D">

The noise coming in through the power source is very minimal.

I've got that filtered. I need to have a filter installed at the fuel pump (which is inside the tank).

Thanks, Hossless<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/wink.gif ALT=";)">

Hello Hossless:

EMI Interference problems are not always easy to fix, I have chased noises for years.

There has to be three things in order to have Interference:

1 A generator of the noise or interfering signal

2 A path that will allow the interfering signal in

3 A receiver, to hear the interfering signal

In most interference problems the source of the interference is best fixed by silencing the generator or source.

With a fuel pump generating noises, in both the power wiring and radiating in the local area, so that the antenna is picking it up. Most radios have a poor receiver, that will hear all kinds of stuff, that it shouldn't. Installing a filter at the fuel pump will be a help, in attenuating the generating noises.

There are bypass capacitors that will attenuate the Ignition coil noises, that work well.

Vehicle Computers, Ignition Modules, Instruments, Hearter Motors, Window Motors, and bunches of other things. Will interfere with the radios. It may not be pratical or money wise smart to silencing the offending part, or device causing some or all the interference.

So having a "Clearspeech Speaker" that can reduce some or all the noises, depending on what you have interfering, is a good call.

Moleculo showd me how his Clearspeech Speaker worked, and it worked quit well, significantly reducing engine noises.
