Hello
Has anyone used or have any experience with the RG-213 coax made by MPD Digital-Kimberly Distribution? It is for sale on Amazon.com at good prices. It claims to be 100% American Made, not Chinese import. I need 150 feet of 213 for my new Hexagonal Beam antenna.

this is SOLID core,... it will not take repeated flexing.

I noticed that the web site doesn't even have an attenuation chart,....

they make a big thing about meeting/exceeding the MIL SPEC, and then show a picture of a soldered UHF connector............ current MIL SPECS do not use solder.

DX Eng (and others) can beat that price for bulk coax, braided center 213 for $.89/ft, you provide your own UHF connectors

Yes, nothing amazing about that vendor. It's just not worth having any vendor install connectors anymore. Learn to do it yourself, or get someone to do it for you that knows how.

I've seen many professionally installed connectors, but I'm seldom impressed.

Remember that the word "professional" simply means that someone got paid to do whatever they did. It is by no means a standard of quality. "Professionally" soldered connectors are seldom of the quality that we normally associate with the word professional. I have been soldering connectors since 1979 and since I do it for myself I actually do give a damn and take time to do it properly.
