I can hardly see this darn dark stock meter. Does anyone know of a 135XLR white meter insert? Gamma Ray doesn't make them, he says.

Can't say that he has them or makes them for the 135; but at least give him a call or an email and he can at least set you straight.

Ok, well there is always the Garage sale or Dumpsterdiver method of locating not the workngi radio, the parts from them that didn't.
Not too many people think of "reusing" old meter faces...
Radio Shack - bless their heart, had older analog S/RF meters that used a "green tint" mask / face directly on the meter's "scale holder" which comes off easily enough.
IF you can get your hands on some older Radio Shack TRC-443 (Read this at mid to late 90's) era radios you may have located a working template.
