Hi all, I’m struggling with the 139xlr. It has low tx power about 6W SSB. New final and driver, all electors replaced and all green caps in driver/final stage.
It seems to be some sort of output tuning issue, the last coil adj after the final has the slug screwed just about all the way out to get good power AM is fine, VR7 takes it up to about 9W, though I run it at 4W.
All of my other radios produce very similar power into the dummy load and antenna but this one shows 12W on the dummy load, but only 6W when connected to the antenna,
