Trying to help a friend. Has a 142 base. AM TX & RX is fine, SSB RX is fine but no SSB TX. Anyone know what component failure would stop SSB TX even though AM is normal?
Wouldn't hurt to shoot a little contact cleaner in VR7, and move it around a bit. If cleaning/adjusting VR7 don't make a difference, it's possible that TR25 has gone faulty. TR25 is a 2SC945, a common low/medium gain multi-purpose audio amp transistor. Good luck!
