Can someone tell me what the litle board near the final is for? I see that it can be pulled out but whats it do?

pulling the board allows you to connect your ammeter to set idle current ( bias ) on the driver and final transistor.

I still have my 146GTL I bought new. Still working great without any mods or repairs.
I use a Cobra DYNA-MIKE PLUS with it.
