Cobra 148 gtl issue

Hello i have a cobra 148gtl made in 2010,here is my issue when i key up tr41 gets very hot even to touch happens on am only usb and lsb are fine ,any help would be appreciated thanks.

A 142 or a 148? Subject says one, message says the other? Unlikely that it will impact the diagnoses, but may impact the resolution.

They do that. Especially if you turn up the mic gain too high. Do it long enough and it will fail. There is an upgrade part to put in when that happens. One thing to know about the newer 148's - is not to push it too hard. They will break.

Yeah still works tx's and modulation is 100 %
