I have a cobra 148 gtl taiwan version side mic. I could transmit and receive but the needle doesn't move when receiving audio. If i key the mic then the needle moves just not on receive. Also the swr meter on the cobra 148 gtl also moves when i key up but it seems to be way off compared to my meter. The cobra 148 meter was working before on receive but i replaced C186 capacitor and replaced channel display cause some segments were not working and now the channel displays is correct. Anyone know why the needle moves to check swr and when transmitting but it just doesn't move when receiving audio?

problem fixed when i turned knob to s/rf lol. The swr meter from the cobra 148 gtl and my meter now match pretty close when i use the coax only problem now is when i connect the antenna without the coax the swr is high i guess the coax might act as ground? Is one of those back set cb antennas.
