Cobra 148GTL Alignment Questions

I have three questions for some of you knowledgeable chaps out there.
When doing the ALC alignment for receive, what are you guys using for a 1uS pulse width generator running at 100ms?
The transmitter alignment, 4.0 Step 6 requires a two-tone signal at 500mV to the mic input. Do you connect this signal to pins 1 and 2? How is the mic keyed?
Step 10 has a similar setup for AMC adjustment, i.e. 50mV at 1KHz input to mic. Again, do you connect to 1 and 2 of the mic? Keying.

you have to put the radio in TX mode which you have to jump pin 2 and 5 for TX and inject the tone in the audio pin 1.

the 4 pin mic you jump shield and tx to activate the radio then put the audio feed to the pin for audio in pin 2
