Cobra 2000 Frequency Counter shorted?

Long story but had a banana clip lead attached to inside radio. Other snd touched the ground lit in a power supply. The frequency counter/clock went out. Didn’t check the rest of radio but first glance no other obvious issue.

Any place to start to look for the issue?

The clock/counter module has two voltage regulator circuits. Sounds like you disabled one of them.

Weird. Now it’s working normally again. Ok.....

Hmm, only "stunned" it?

Have a look at the power socket at the rear of the module. Comes loose easily.
