Cobra 2000 GTL Blue led segments?

Makes me wonder if Lester scrapes the original type numbers off the digits he sells you.

Just identifying a part that substitutes for the Cobra's red digits can be tricky. Size/shape must match and the pinout has to match the wiring of the circuit board. The outfits who make them only seem to do so for a couple of years. Makes finding a supply of them hit or miss.

There was a time when this sort of part would be listed in a catalog where you could order them as needed from year to year. No so much now. Much more chaotic.

They still make but need to purchase in lots of 2000 I was told. Snake has them but wants $90 for just the segments.

There ya go.

If I had that much money tied up in LED digits I would get a fancy price for them, too. This is a type of product for which there is no handy, low-priced middleman selling them.

If someone chose to compete with Snake, this would drive down the price. Won't be me.
