Ok. The meter moves, so the RX is fine. Swapped mics, RF is all the way up. Checked switch for speakers, etc. no audio on AM or SSB on CB and PA. I had un-modded the clarifier mod. The frequency counter didn't like the mod at all. I never could get her back on. So i put her back to un-modded stat. With both PA and CB inop as far as no audio, i figured its the audio power chip. Some pins are a bit off but i don't know it they are so far to cause my discrepancy though. Checked voltage on the chip and it reads as follows:
1- 13.5
2- 6.5
3- 0
4- 0
5- 1.16
6- 1.17
7- 0
8- 0
9- 6.76
10-12.8

Any ideas?

Never seen a Cobra 2000 or 148 that didn't take the standard clarifier mod.
Unless there was something wrong to the radio to begin with.

It is best to make sure that the radio is OK first before any modding is done - as a rule.

Check the mic wiring at the mic plug; don't take that for granted.
90% of the time it ends up being the problem . . .

Mic Wiring

Stock
1- Audio
2- Shield
3- Receive
4- Sw Com
5- Transmit

IIRC, jumping pins 2 & 3 should give you RX audio.
That would be a fair place to start and no mic is needed.
