So I replaced TR24 in this radio to restore the AM limiter (or so i thought). But even after doing so, I do not notice any change when I adjust VR12. Could there be another component that was removed ? I don’t see anything obvious. Not a big deal, just curious why it doesn’t work. Guess I should also check VR11. Not sure if that works either. Thanks.

Check if r131 was removed or cut.

It was cut. But when I replaced it, the modulation is all cut up, hard to explain. Choppy sounding. VR12 still doesn’t appear to do anything but it’s hard to tell with the choppy modulation. If I remove it, it goes back to sounding fine.
