Here is the problem I bought a cobra 2000 and its does not recive on am or ssb, I put the speaker in the PA jack and it works on am and ssb. Any one know what might cause this? There is TX.

I think this radio requires that you must have a properly wired mic plugged in before you can hear the receive.
If the only time you can hear the receive is when the speaker is plugged into the PA jack; then someone has obviously tampered with it.
Either go with it as it is, send it back to the seller, or send it to a shop to set it straight . . .

Mics wired correct from my other cobra 2000, think it needs to go to the doctors. Got it for cheap. And its real nice so seller wont get it back
