Cobra 25 ltd classic 1969 mod

Whats all involved in switching the final (2078) in a Cobra 25 ltd classic to a 1969? Is it as simple as just removing the 2078 and putting the 1969 in its place or are there other components that need to be changed?

IIRC, the PA section of the 25 radio and the 29 are the same.

You'll need to do a realignment so to do it properly you need access to test gear other than a power meter.

Old thread, but what all do I need to do an alignment bedsides a freq counter?

Look at the factory service manual on CB tricks. The alignment section lists all required equipment and where to connect it.
