Hey guys, I just bought a cheap cobra 25 off eBay to throw in my wife's car, I pulled the cover off just to see if it was ever messed with, looks like vr5 is wide open but the limiter is still intact, the slug on l10 is turned out about halfway, will that hurt anything? I've heard mixed things about tuning the coils, just wanted to know if it was a hack mod or not

It shouldn't hurt anything. Sounds like it has been "peaked". L10 L9 L8 are tuned for max pep. Some just tune L10. Of course you know vr5 is modulation. Jmo, I'd turn vr5 to about 3/4.
IIRC L20 is the tvi trap on the cobra 25. That is the one coil that should not be turned. Others should not be either, unless you have the proper test equipment.
