I have a side mic 29 that was working awesome, I wanted to do the recieve boost mod to it. I installed the mod on a switch. I decided to make sure it was on frequency while it was on the bench. It was off a little so I adjusted it the close as it would go. I have a TIP120 variable installed so I can run my amp. I put the radio back in the truck, receiving find but my dead key wouldn’t adjust low enough. I guess I had changed something while Aligning it, so I put back on the bench got my dead key back down where it was was. Reinstalled in my truck, but now all I get in the recieve is static no voices. I have change the audio chip the PLL chip TR6 I have checked numerous capacitors, diodes. This radio is getting ready to go in the trashcan and I’m sure it’s something simple but I’m beating my head against the wall. This radio is a modulation monster and runs my box so good and I want to get the receive fixed but I don’t even know where to start. Any direction or any thoughts on where the problem may be would be wonderful

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
