This is a really clean old radio, it belongs to a friend of mine. He was using it on his base and it had lots of audio, and good receive.
One day he turned it on and keyed it up and it wouldn't say anything. No audio, no watts, the meter doesn't even move up.
I imeadiatly suspected the finals were gone, so I changed them with a set that I had from a working Cobra 29 just like it. It did the same thing. The receive audio is still fine, but nothing on TX, though the TX light does light up on the front. It's got to be some simple little part or bad solder joint. I have looked it over and can't figure it out, I couldn't find a schematic for it anywhere.
Any help would be appreciated.
