Just got a Cobra 29 LX in on trade. what is some good mods for this radio? been looking for info on the net but not having to much luck. thanks

they are the same as the cobra 29 l.t.d classic,same cap and resistor mod for dead key,(and verbal)the trb3 echo board are great in this radio,vr4 for mod turn to the left,all of it is the same type in cobra 29 mod on you tube,just keep playing around with your search keep putting in cobra 29,also check cbradiomagazine super mod:

A correct tune and alignment from a good tech is always a great place to start. Another option for echo would be a 2018 mic.

I would NOT clip the audio limiter diode. D11 in my GTL not sure what it is in the LX. Some mod pages tell you to do that. Its not good. Make ya sound like poop.
