Cobra 89xlr

1) Are you sure you marked all of the old caps with a black felt pen - before you started replacing them?
2) Sometimes cap kits include caps to replace the tantalum caps too, since they are both electrolytics.
3) Sometimes cap kits have too many caps in them; not likely tho.

what do you have and what do you need to install. you just said different values. like I had told you in the old post to you the voltage can go up just not the uf, what is different and as Robb mentioned did you mark the caps with a magic marker before you started.

Are these the original values that you do not have a replacement for or are these three caps from over from the kit?

Sometimes people will sub a 1uF in place of a .47uF, depends on what you are trying to sub.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
