cobra cam 88

i just bought a nice cobra cam 88 sometimes it wont key and when it does no modulation ive checked mic that is ok ive checked all tubes some cheks weak but none actually checks bad any one have any suggestions HELP

Did you try pulling out the relays and cleaning them?

Also try pulling out each one of the tubes and cleaning each pin and clean the tube sockets. This is very common for a radio of this age.Do that first and if that doesn't solve the problem you then need to find a schematic and trace the audio chain.Hope this helps..DAVE

no i havent but i have checked all tubes and sockets they are fine thanks ill try relays next
