COBRA CAM 89


As a rule, the driver/final transistors are most often mounted on the frame because they need heat dissipation. If you take some pictures of the inside walls of your radio and post them up here, it would be a lot easier to identify them. Or use the schematic and trace it out:

TR-18 & 19 look like the final/driver in the schematic.
You will find them at the bottom of the schematic.
 
Some of the older radios did not use TO-220 style cases bolted to the side rail for pre drivers/drivers/finals/, often they were the round TO-5/TO-52/TO-72 style cases with a round, finned heat sink pressed over them.

If set up right this old girl can really bark! The cam 89 is one of my fave 23 CH AM only bases made...
