I am wondering if the board in the Cobra 29 Night Watch/Weather is the same as the Cobra 29 as far as the 2030 finals mod.

if you plan on running an amp, you are better off leaving the stock final..

i have a few radios i tested with the mosfet mod and the overall average power was very low.

showed nice peak watts, but didnt drive the amp hard at all.

The 2030 final is an excellent output transistor for ssb but is a little on the weak side for most am applications.
