COMPARE Stryker TO Northpoint Nt-9-hp

I was choosing between Stryker & Northpoint. Shoot, if you toss Magnum into the picture then heck yea, go for an S-9 or S-980.

If I replaced my M1104 with a 1446 do I have to do anything
to my radio?
Or is it a drop in replacement and will do the same power?

Does it need to be retuned?

    Is it possible to be on a lake and have a homing directional beam being emitted from the shore so a person could navigate to that beam's source? For example at night to a jetty.
