Has anybody had experience with using the TNC on the Yaesu FTM-350AR? I have my usb to serial adapter and I am totally clueless to get to see if this is communicating to from the TNC to the computer. Any help would be great!

You cannot access the internal TNC on a FTM-350 from your computer. If you want to do something like that, you need to either attach an external TNC or go with the Kenwood TM-D710A radio.

That is correct.

And if you want to hook up an external TNC, note that the SQL (squelch control) pin on the FTM-350 has the wrong polarity. So you should program the TNC to use software carrier detect (and depending on the TNC, cut that line to the TNC).

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
