connex 3300

I have a connex 3300 that works good when the enine is not running, but when you start the engine a loud whirring noise comes thru the speaker. Is there some sort of capacitator or resister i could put in line across the power in to the radio. I know it's something with this radio. It has been heavily tampered with as usual, but works great other than picking up interference from battery chargers, engine electrical, Cars passing by, etc. Any help? I want to save this radio and make it usable as a mobile again. Thanks 161 three eyed jack

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
