Well they are finally in...The Connex 4300 H.P....Same circuit board as the 3300HP BUT instead of having 1 2sc2166 driving 2 2sc1696's they have 1 2sc2166 driving 1 2sc2290...Yeppers... A connex with a 2290 in it factory...Does NOT have the heatsink on bottom like the 48T does...Very nice radio... Has blue LED number and blue LED light in the meter.. Has a talkback on/off switch and a variable power..

Once set up and tuned they will do 80-90 watts peak...

Just wanted to pass along the info...They showed up a little earlier than was was predicted...

Overall very pleased with the radio..

Northstar, does the 3600 board have as good a receive as the 6900 boards?

Several problems people are having with these radios is with talkback and the echo. Some also having heat issues.

The only problem I noticed, and one that could have been easily fixed with a small fan, was the radio gets warm on extended talk times... I bought a $20.00 dollar fan from Tiger Direct and presto, no heat problems... Nothing wrong with putting a fan on the heatsink, it's been done for a while now.

As far as the talk back, it's not adjustable but have had no probs with mine, and I leave the 2 knobs for Echo set to 9 'Oclock... I got that nice "Twinge" of echo that sounds great... Some people are saying that they are having a hard time trying to get them adjusted, but this is where mine sits and it works fine. 8)

Alot of it has to do with what mic you are running to people are finding out. And if the amc is left intact.

The Astatic 636 L SE, along with it's cool looking Chrome button and steel Mic Chord line, seems to work really, really well on that radio. I had a Modulator kit put in it, so the radio has plenty of drive and Modulation well the 636 L SE keeps the background noise in check.
